In 1999 I did a story at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome for Conde Nast Brides. We spent a lovely two days shooting our story and I was more than pleased with the results. For years; however, I have been dying to go back to do a fashion story at the Aerodrome, and so last week I was able to scratch that itch, and after 16 years, revisited this location that is so rich in aeronautic history. With the help of my friend Ise White, who pulled together a wonderful mix of couture and vintage, we were on our way to a spectacular and fun day. Many thanks to Nete Rahbek from Red Models, Todd Elkins from Major Models and MU/Hair Sacha Harford from Next Artists. Also, a huge shout out to Melissa Chapman, Spencer Ostrander, and all the staff at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome. See the rest of the images from this shoot on my website!

Shooting with Perfectly Posh

When Perfectly Posh called to do a photo shoot in California, I was excited to join them on the journey from Angeles State Park to Sycamore Cove above Malibu and then to Club Ed in Lancaster, CA. California’s draught took a day off when we went to the mountains in May. It rained, hailed and then proceeded to snow on us! We shot through the conditions, because being in the fashion business, we are all tough as nails. The next day we had a gorgeous day at the beach followed by an even more spectacular day in the desert. A great crew and a fantastic result!

Behind the Scenes!

One of my favorite things about shooting is being able to travel to magnificent places and work hard with crews of wonderful people! Rain or shine, we always have fun on location shoots! Here are some behind the scenes shots of my recent trip to the West coast to shoot for Perfectly Posh. We saw snow in the mountains of Angeles National Forest, sunkissed beaches along the Pacific coast at Sycamore Canyon Beach, and sunbaked desert in Lancaster, CA.Thanks to Michael Cioffolettit @cioffolettit, Christina Culinski @clcglam & Aga Jakubowski @agajakub for your instagrams!

Love in the Maldives

Nine and a half years ago when I first met my partner, the painter Charlotta Janssen , I was immediately smitten. I also had a job for Spa Finder Magazine that hadn’t been cast yet, so our second date was spent taking polaroids to show the client. By the third day of knowing each other, she was booked for a trip to Maldives with me! Such an amazing trip! The timing couldn’t have been better to keep her away from her other suitors! Here are a few images from that memorable trip:

Snow Day

I thought I would take advantage of winter storm Juno, and do some pictures in Fort Greene Park. I called up my friends Anderson Ribeiro and Eloisa Carvalho (both with Wilhelmina) and spent a wonderful morning together rolling around in the snow in 20 degree temperatures. We warmed up by going to lunch at Chez Oskar and eating omelets and crepes!
